God Be With You

2 John 3 "Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love."

How often have we heard someone tell us to have a good day? At many retail stores and restaurants, and often times at church, we all have heard those famous words wishing us to have a good day.

For many years, I have thought that "Have a good day" is perhaps the most widely overused greeting other than "Hello, how are you?" I have jokingly said that the next time someone asks me how I am doing, I will give them the whole story.

When offering farewells to others, as Christians, the loving wish, "God be with you" is a great way to extend and demonstrate our witness. In addition, to add the thought "till we meet again" suggests a sincere desire for continued friendship.

Dear Friend, how many times have you uttered those words, "God be with you" with great sincerity? What a great way to reach out and be a great witness to those around us.
