14"Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your forefathers worshiped beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. 15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."

What a statement of faith. It seems odd to me now, but not so many years ago, I was like these people not concerning myself with what my Lord had done for me. I was serving the world and living for me. I learned through teaching and reading that it was not me that I should be living for. I was nothing, and the world will end and there is nothing I can do.
Nothing I can do but learn to love the Lord our God, to serve Him daily and know that we are saved from death. My house...me and my house...we will serve the Lord!
