A Resolution For All of Us
"Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone." Jesus knew it was important to spend time with the Father to pray. He dismissed everyone and everything that would be a distraction to him, before he went to the mountainside to pray. Not everyone has the luxury of going to the mountainside to pray, but the message here is to find uninterrupted time to pray. God wants us to give Him our undivided attention, doesn't He? If not, how can we do a good job listening when He answers our prayers? Life is full of distractions, but we can get rid of those distractions, by making a special effort to find our place of solitude. As a brand new year is quickly approaching, many people will make their typical resolutions, only to find that they are unrealistic and unattainable. It sure is disappointing to know that resolutions always 'look good on paper' but are often broken within days or even hours from the time they are made. How many of these resolutions are focused on spiritual things? God wants us to commit our lives to His service and His kingdom. Dear Friend, let us be like Jesus and resolve to find our own 'mountainside' when we pray. Let us dismiss all distractions as we communicate with Him. Jesus has already shown us the way. Merry Christmas!
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." You may have heard about the little boy who was shopping with his father in a department store and noticed the large red-and-green "Happy Xmas" sign. As he was bothered by what he had just observed, he asked his dad if they had crossed Christ out of Christmas. His father admitted that he had never thought of it that way before, but finally agreed that his son must be right. Being similar to the boy in this story, I have always thought the same thing about retailers and others who have used X-mas instead of Christmas. Are they taking a stand against the real reason for the season, or are they just being lazy? According to the Greek lanquage that was used in the New Testament, "Chi" is similar to the Roman " X" which is the first letter of Christ. Many, many years ago when printing was slow, tedious, and was performed by by hand, abbreviations were very widely used. In fact, it was very common for churches to use the abbreviation "X" for "Christ" in their Christian publications. As a Christian, I've never written X-mas instead of Christmas. Many years ago at a very young age, I learned that when our family shared Christmas greetings with others, we have always expressed "Merry Christmas." Dear Friend, remember to always include Christ in all you do. If you are thankful for your relationship with Christ, it will be very easy and natural to write His full name and not participate in omissions or substitutions. More Blessed to Give Than to Receive!
Acts 20:35 (NIV) "In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.' " Do you really believe it? At Christmas, we all like to receive gifts, don't we? Have you ever quoted the last few words of this verse? Did you mean it? Christmas is such a happy time of year for so many people, but for many others it can be a very sad and depressing season. In every community there are jobless people, homeless people, and those who just need a special gift of love from someone. Maybe that someone can be you this year. Here are some ideas to share God's love this Christmas: 1.) Adopt a family and give a special gift to each family member. 2.) Share Christmas cards with spiritual greetings. 3.) Go carolling with friends. 4.) Write a special letter to a missionary or member of our military. Dear Friend, let us all show the world this year that it is truly more blessed to give than to receive this Christmas. Ask God to guide you in your giving and you will truly be a blessing to others. a way for them to reach their destination. They did not question where they were going,
they did not question why they were going there, they did not try to come up with a
better or easier way to get there, they did not complain, they did not stop, they stayed
steady on the path and followed their given direction.
If an angel appeared to you today and gave you direction. How would you respond?
Would you question, would you try to find a better way, would you complain, would you
take a break, would you stay on the path? We all get caught up with our fast paced
lifestyle and are always trying to find a faster or better way to complete our tasks.
I pray today that you would take the time to enjoy your family, and all God has provided
for you. Take time to see all the amazing things that God has done for you. Take the
direction that God has given you and follow. Let God reveal to you in His time what He
wants you to see.

Christmas for You!
| Luke 2:1-20 (NIV) In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was governor of Syria. And everyone went to their own town to register. So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger." Dear Friend, have you taken the time to thank God for the very first Christmas so long ago? It was because He came to earth as one of us and later died on the cross that we might have eternal life. The angel of the Lord said, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people." "Good news for all the people" is talking about salvation that is available for everyone. Have you accepted Him in your life today? The birth of Jesus is the best Christmas gift ever given! Christmas is almost here!
our family and loved ones. We really let time get away from us. I think back
of when we were younger and time would stand still and it seemed as if the
holiday's or a special event would never get here, but now as we have grown
time fly's by faster and faster. We will all be working away each day, shopping
for that special gift for someone, attending Christmas parties and events, watching
Christmas programs at the schools and Church, just a very busy time.
My prayer for you today is that through the fast pace lives we live that we don't
overlook what God has for us. I pray that we keep our eyes and our hearts open,
and allow God to reveal what He has just for us this week. When you get that
feeling that you should take a moment and do something or when you hear God speak
to you take a moment and do it. God will bless you! God will provide for your
every need. Pray believing and you will be amazed with the greatness of God.

Child-like Faith
| It is getting closer to Christmas and I must confess, I am looking forward to this year as much if not more so then in the past. This year brings the addition to two precious grand babies. Not to say my children aren't wonderful, they are, but there is something about a new baby and the love and joy they bring. The house seems full and there seems to be more life in everyone around here these days. I can imagine the joy in Mary and Joseph when the little life arrived for them. What I can't imagine is how amazing it must have been to hold this child, knowing the appearance of angels and others coming to visit at his birth. Joseph taking him to raise, teach and love as his own, knowing that one day the young man would have venture out on his own to face a world that would hate and condemn him for saving them from themselves and their sin. Jesus tells us that we must receive the kingdom of God like a child. If we don't, we "will not enter it at all" (Mark 10:15). In other words, our whole attitude toward God, Christ, and the kingdom must be childlike. As a child is endeared to his parents for the blessings they bestow upon him, so Christians love God and seek to please Him in everything we do. Children have a wonderful sense of understanding, they love without question, they believe when we as adult would not. They have faith…faith as a child. That is what our Lord asks of us. To receive Him and the Kingdom of Heaven as a child. Have we become so intelligent and jaded that we aren't able to believe? Belief and faith are things we could learn from our children. God bless them for it! I am learning everyday to believe and have faith. My babies and grand babies have given me that ability, all I have to do is watch them and teach them about God. I've decided not to title this discussion...I bet this gets your attention better. ;)
| Simply amazed this evening after listening to Casting Crowns!! Those guys always blow me away with their music! As I'm sure all who are reading this already know, we have been in the studio this week doing what God has prepared for us to do. We have been frustrated at times as well as excited and speechless. Today we nearly finished what we weren't suppose to be done with until Thursday or Friday and yet we sit here finished except for a quick vocal fix on one song that will take no more than 5 minutes to complete. God has shown us His love in an unbelievable way that we can't possibly begin to thank or repay Him for. Back to what I said with the frustration this week though, it's not been all easy work. We've been mad at ourselves individually and at each other, I know personally I was frustrated with myself as well as everyone else I'm sure being frustrated with me on a part in "Stand." But after hearing Casting Crowns tonight, most of us agreed that even professionals can make mistakes. And in no way at all was that meant to put them down. They had an amazing show, hands down. But most of us in the band agreed that it was encouraging to hear a mistake here or there from a band who does this for a living and is at the top of the charts with their music. It was encouraging to see that it's alright not to be perfect in what we play each time as we made a lot of mistakes this week in the studio. Going to the concert tonight was surely a God thing, whether anyone else heard those missed notes or not isn't important, I feel it was a sign from God saying "Good job well and faithful servant, no one is perfect." Nor are we expected to be perfect, hints John 3:16 and many other verses that back that up. So in conclusion, we know God has not called us to be perfect, but rather, faithful in the path He has laid before us to walk in. Nothing can stray us from our paths with Jesus, even with the mistakes we may make, as long as we are in fact, walking with Jesus. There are no flaws seen in us when we put our faith in our God who reigns and always will be on His thrown!! No matter the storms in your life, our God sees us as flawless when we have that faith in Jesus Christ as our savior. *Amen To Such An Amazing God* -Tyler |

Be Strong and Courageous!
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him. With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles." And the people gained confidence from what Hezekiah the king of Judah said. Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." Matthew 28:19-20 "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." John 16:33 "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." To successfully endure the battles of life, we must be strong and courageous. This is not always easy to do, is it? We must know that God is always with us as He has promised. He has promised us that he will be with us even unto the end of the age. To know that He has always been with us and for us, and will always be our source of strength, should give us comfort and peace. Dear Friend, what battles are you facing today? Allow God to go with you in everything you do today. To know that God is, truly means that He always was, always is, and always will be. His promises are true and He wants to be your guide forever. Whiter Than Snow
"Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow." Last night as we drove home after an evening with friends, the first measurable snow began to fall. As the local forecasters had predicted between 1 to 3 inches of snow to arrive in our area overnight, many comments throughout the day ranged from excitement to dismay, as you can imagine. Most mornings at 5a during this time of year are rather dark and dreary, and for many people it is difficult to climb out of bed at that hour. Today I awoke to a beautiful morning that was much brighter than normal. Yes, our snow had gently arrived overnight and we have 3 or 4 inches of snow on the ground. I glanced out the window and noticed how quiet, how serene, and how beautiful the snowy white conditions had brightened the entire yard. From the trees to the mailbox, every structure has received a beautiful blanket of bright, white snow. You see, the snow in its natural state of beauty is bright, and white, and is a symbol of purity. Dear Friend, have you been washed and cleansed by the blood of the Lamb? If so, the bible clearly states that you will be whiter than snow. As I witnessed again today, the brightness of snow just couldn't be contained to itself. Is your life a symbol of purity today? Can you truly say that your life is whiter than snow? Trust Him today to wash you from your sins so that you may reflect His love and beauty to everyone you interact with today. Prayer Request!
| This is a very short and simple devotion from me this week. I'm sure the rest of the band will agree with me that we are ecstatic about what next week is going to bring. I just ask for prayer from all of our fans. Please pray that we will be prepared, patient, confident, safe, obedient, and wise in this next week as we leave to record our first album with Tate Music Group. We have a lot of work to do and it's all for God's glory, we would have nothing without Him. For instance, we wouldn't even have a topic to sing and play for without our God being on His throne. So keep us in your hearts and on your minds this week and pray often as we do God's will for us!! And always, ask us for prayer in your life as well, there's nothing I enjoy more than being able to pray for others and being supportive of those growing in Christ. *Serving my God with all my life* -Tyler |

Bright Lights for Him!
| Matthew 5:14-16 "You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under a bushel basket, but on the lamp stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven." Just as quickly as Thanksgiving came and went, Christmas became the central theme and focus in retail stores and in homes across our land. Many of us have already decorated our Christmas trees and also have made our plans for our family gatherings in the upcoming weeks. As a small child many years ago and even today, I have always enjoyed the beautiful lights of Christmas. I remember the joy of counting the number of homes that had light displays as we traveled to church on Sunday and Wednesday evenings. In our short 15 minute drive, we counted as many as few hundred homes sometimes. Our family decorated our Christmas tree and hung the lighted garland a few days ago, and we had such a fun time as we completed this project together. The thoughts of 'letting our light shine' crossed my mind several times as we worked to create our bright display. Dear Friend, what have you done to shine your light where you live? God has placed all of us in different homes, different jobs, and different towns where we can shine our lights for Him. Is your life a bright light that is pleasing to our Father in Heaven, or have you hidden your light under a bushel basket? May we all be a bright and shining light today as others watch us and are drawn to our Savior. Dave Henry |
Make a difference!
It seems as if we only see our whole family on the holidays. We all seem
to have very busy lives, doing what we do. It was nice just to sit there
and see everyone enjoying the day. I really enjoyed watching my parents and
my aunts and uncles watch and play with the younger kids. They receive a
great amount of joy spending time with them. They make a difference in
the younger generations lives. It is amazing how the smallest thing can
make such a huge difference in someones life.
In just one week we (RTW) will be moving forward to do our part in making
a difference in as many lives as possible. We (RTW) pray that God uses us
for His will, that His word may pierce hearts and lives would be changed.
This journey is His, we will be obedient and follow where ever God takes us.
I pray today that you would listen to what God is saying to you. That you
would take the steps required to make a difference. It will not always be
easy. The road may take you on a very difficult journey, but God is always
there. Lay all your faith in the hands of your creator. Praise Him for
all He has done, believe that He will help you through and you will
MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!

Let Us All Give Thanks!
"And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him." 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV) "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." Last night our family traveled to the annual Thanksgiving destination, and upon arrival at the homes of our cousins, the hugs and smiles began without hesitation. It is always good to see family and friends, but prior to arriving, one thought repetitively filled my mind as we shared our journey together and witnessed the heavy traffic in all directions on the highway. There were many people travelling alone, but seemingly more cars and vans were filled with moms and dads and their children. I know that they, too, were travelling to see their families as well, and would hopefully share the same joy that our family shares each year for this wonderful holiday. I thank God for all of our families and the close relationships we share. I know that God must be pleased to see that our nation has set aside a national day of reflection called Thanksgiving, where we honor our loving God for His neverending, neverfailing provision in our lives. Dear Friend, what are you doing for Thanksgiving this year? Will you share it with your family as well, or will you be alone? There is no need to be alone. Individually or corporately, spend time with God today and thank Him for all of the many blessings in your life. Give and expect nothing
But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back.
Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the
ungrateful and wicked.

If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles.
It is hard to love your enemies, and even harder to do good toward them. We are all instructed in
the bible to do so, and to give to them expecting nothing in return. This is very difficult and
becomes harder as time passes. But God promises that your reward is great, and you will find peace
and understanding with the knowledge you will gain as you do good works. As you put on your amour
and face each and every day with thankfulness and faith. In Matthew chapter 5 and verse 41 the
bible tells us about being forced to go one mile. And that you should be willing to go with
them two miles.
With tomorrow being Thanksgiving as all the families gather and homes are filled with food and
laughter, somewhere out there someone is hurting and in need. Someone is holding a grudge or
grievance against a brother or a sister. The prayer today is that the walls would be torn down,
the barriers would be divided and healing would begin. Do you love your enemies? Could you
give to them expecting nothing? Are you willing to go the extra mile?

Our Great Healer
| Mark 5:25-34 (NIV)) And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, "If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed." Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering. At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, "Who touched my clothes?" "You see the people crowding against you," his disciples answered, "and yet you can ask, 'Who touched me?' " But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. He said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering." Wow, what an amazing account of faith and healing! As I have read this passage numerous times in preparation for today's inspiration, the first question that comes to mind is why do we wait so long before we seek Jesus for healing in our lives? Shouldn't He be our first course of action instead of our last hope? The passage tells us that this woman had been bleeding and suffered for several years and had spent all she had under the care of many doctors. The purpose of this amazing story of miraculous healing is not to focus on the doctors and to announce their limitations and shortcomings to the world. It is, however, and account of faith in Jesus. When we direct our focus on our Great Physician and Great Healer and Master of all Medicine who made us, and who has all of the ultimate healing power in the world, great things will happen. Dear Friend, do you have a need for healing in your life? Do you have a need for physical healing, spiritual healing, or emotional healing? Our Father in Heaven loves you and desires the best for you. In whom have you placed your trust for healing? God wants to hear from his children today. Take a few moments right now and seek Him as this woman of faith did so many years ago. He alone is ready and willing and able to supply all your needs. Thanksgiving always takes me there!
like one big family. So if you were to get in any mischief your Parents, Grandparents, and
pretty much your whole family new you were in trouble before you arrived home after school
or football practice. I always have to laugh about things like that. And it seems that
the holiday's always seem let my memories run wild of being a young boy. But one that
stands out the most is my memory of my Grandma, or Grams as I always called her. What a
supper lady! Grams had nothing but love and compassion for everyone. Such a strong lady
with a huge heart. On Thanksgiving I always knew the Grams would have her homemade
macaroni and cheese. She made the best! You could smell it when you walked up to the house.
I think I can almost smell it now! LOL! Isn't it awesome how the smell of a certain food
can take you to a cherished memory. Grams went to be with Jesus early in her life. She has
truly been missed. But something that stands today through my whole family is the knowing
knowledge of the love Grams had for Jesus. She was a beaming light for God! I wish I could
thank Grams for the impression she made on me and my whole family. And share with her the
amazing things that God has done in our family since she has past. My Father became a Pastor,
I have been given the gift of music, and our next generations are beautiful and full of energy.
And I am looking forward to being the light as the generations pass. And I pray that my light
shines just as bright as Gram's.
I am thankful for the memories and thankful that Thanksgiving always takes me there!

Let Us Sharpen Each Other
| Ephesians 5:19-20 (NIV) "Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 3:15 (NIV) "But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect." Proverbs 27:17 (NIV) "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." Last night I had a wonderful conversation with my brother! What began as a 'brief' call to let him know the status of my recent medical procedure, quickly became a sweet discussion about God's goodness and His amazing providence in both of our lives. We have been studying the bible on our own, and had reflected numerous times throughout our hour long chat that God always meets our needs, but we must trust Him first. It is only when we put our complete faith and trust in Him and surrender our own desires that we experience joy and happiness that He alone provides. Both of us agreed that our chat lasted much longer than we had initially intended, but no apologies are needed. Near the end of our conversation, we affirmed that 'iron sharpens iron' and that our time together was extremely valuable to each other. Dear Friend, have you shared scriptures with someone today? Have you shared God's love and hope with someone you love? We are all at different levels of spiritual maturity, but can richly benefit from our interactions with others as we shapen each other. Take some time right now to thank God for allowing us to have relationships and interactions with others. Let Us Give Thanks!

Anticipation!
the date would never get here and now we are making plans for transportation and hotel. The days are flying
buy. We have really been anticipating this Journey! God has really done some amazing things for us.
It has been about a year and a half now since God changed my heart! I remember the day as if it were
yesterday. Standing on stage in Nashville with Dave. I knew I could not go on. That was not the
direction that God wanted. I could not stay the course I was on and go with God. I prayed believing that
God would help me use the gift He had given me to reach others.
Mark 11:24
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
Matthew 21:22
"If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."
At this time I had no idea what God was doing, or what direction He would take me. I began writing new songs.
I began playing my guitar in a whole new way. More passion, more love! Over the course of a year and
a half God has really blessed my life. God has given me, with the RideTheWind band, an opportunity to do
something I really love to do.
I encourage you today to call out to God with anticipation!

Call Upon Our Lord
| Isaiah 55:6 (NIV) "Seek the LORD while he may be found; call on him while he is near." Yesterday as I drove in unfamiliar territory to meet someone, it became even more unfamiliar as my planned route to the destination became more lengthy due to road construction. At the time I two choices, to follow the provided alternative directions commonly called a 'detour' or to create my own game plan. I saw two or three cars make a turn on a different road that appeared to be the right direction and I thought they must know their way around this mess, so I followed them. It didn't take more than a few minutes and I was quickly on my own. There were no cars in front of me and no cars behind me. I continued on the same road for several miles, and was convinced that I was getting closer to my destination. Although there were temptations to correct my decision to find the detour again, I realized that I must continue driving, because the road I traveled was certainly a well-traveled road. As I arrived in town, the alternative path had taken me approximately near the destination, but forced me to make some quick, split-second decisions once again. I managed to find my way, but only with the help of street signs and a GPS that was under the seat. I had paused a moment from my scurrying and asked for God's help, and remembered that I had a GPS in the car, but it was certainly in a secure location, where nobody would see it or bother it. Within minutes, I was able to locate my friend's house. Dear Friend, have you ever been lost? Have you drifted from God? Are you on the right path to your eternal destination, or have you taken your own detour? The GPS under the seat is similar to our bibles, isn't it? If we do not read our bibles daily, the directions and solutions for life may never be found. Won't you allow God to be your GPS today? Dave Henry |

Remembering!
I sat down to write a good long devotional, but felt lead to do something different today. November 11, 2010, Veterans Day and with all the remembrances and services held, I was reminded of my grandfather who spent his life in the service of Christ. He was first and foremost a loving family man who gave all he had to make sure we were loved and cared for (even when we didn't think we needed it). My grandfather spent the 1940's just like most men of that era, fighting for freedom and touring the world on the US GI plan. He got to see some beautiful places, fraught with war and strife that were not so beautiful anymore. There is a photo on my computer desktop of him walking the beaches of Normandy, France, fifty years after he walked it the first time. A look in his face that took him back to the bitter days of hatred and anger of a world at war. He always saw the good in people and would always greet them with a, "Hello friend!" I am happy to have known this man. I am thrilled he let me see that real men could be a strong resilient type, but could also be soft and caring. After the war he became a minister and continued teaching the Word of God up to the day he left this temporary home to be with the Father. My grandfather, Rev. Edward Randall Jr. taught me how to be strong, how to love, how to forgive, how to teach, and most of all be a friend to those who would not want friendship. An infectious smile and loving heart and a "Hello friend!" with the love of Jesus in your heart were what he advised. I admired my grandfather for the man he was. I admire him much more for the man he made me become. He taught me about God, and not to be ashamed or afraid to be a Christian.

Do You Have Trials Today?
| James 1:2-6 (NIV) "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind." Life is certainly full of trials, isn't it? It seems that when we face trials, we are more likely to return to our knees and ask for strength, wisdom, and guidance more than any other time in our lives. But the one question that we must ask ourselves is whether or not we consider it a 'pure joy' when we are facing these trials. That is a very difficult thing to do, isn't it? The passage continues to instruct us that the testing of our faith produces perseverance. As we persevere and endure our trials, God has promised us that He will offer us wisdom if we are lacking wisdom. We are also instructed that when we ask God for wisdom, we must truly believe that His promises are true and will be fulfilled as He has promised. If we have any doubt that God will provide and meet our needs, we are compared to the waves of the sea, which are blown and tossed around by the wind. Dear Friend, are you facing trials today? Are you handling all of your problems on your own, or have you placed your trust in God that He alone can deliver you and heal you? Are you lacking wisdom today? The Author, Provider, and Deliverer of your Salvation has promised all of us that He alone will provide the strength and wisdom we need to endure all of life's trials and problems. Take a few moments right now and call upon Him so that you will have the strength and wisdom you need to face the rest of the day. Remember also to return thanks to God for His awesome love and provision on your life today. He alone is worthy! Dave Henry |

Healing for you!
searching my mind and the Word for a way to reveal life experiences through music
that will reach people. It is so amazing how music can reach someone. And it
will reach someone else differently. Today my mind has been wrapped around the
gracious healing! A song by Aaron Jeffory from a few years ago. A song titled
"Heal me". Read through the words of the chorus below and allow them to
saturate your mind and be open to allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you today.

Angry Love Letter!
| Confession time, their are people I come in contact with on almost an everyday basis that I don't like. And to be honest, sometimes I think my life would be much better spent never coming in contact with them. But that's not God's plan for any of us. Jesus tells us to love our neighbor as we love our self in Mark 12:31. I know God has put me in the place that I'm in so I can be a light to others. Even if I feel like there's not enough light to save some people from darkness!! I know that the life I've chosen to live comes with insults and hatred towards me, as a lot of you can relate to also I'm positive, but some times Satan does indeed get the best of me (and you) and tears us down. I'm currently broken down and hurt, yes real men can be hurt and be honest about it! However, there is a God up in heaven that has sent His Son to live on this earth and to make the ultimate sacrifice for doing absolutely nothing wrong and deserving none of what He got on earth!! For this reason, I (and you should consider doing this yourself) will continue to take the insults, the smart remarks, the stabs in the back, and whatever else comes my way because Jesus took all of that and more to give me (and you) forgiveness of sins! So when you come in contact with people you don't like, or often hate (like I do right now), begin with praying for forgiveness of that dislike (or hate) because that is just as much a sin as anything the other person could do, then humble yourself and realize this is something God has given you to endure for a reason. Whether that reason be to plant a seed, to personally gain either wisdom, patience, or knowledge, or to build on your own personal faith foundation. Whatever the reason may be, God doesn't promise an easy life as a Christian nor does he promise everyone will like you or be nice to you, but He does promise not to give any of us something we can't handle :). Those who aren't nice or don't like you still need Jesus to receive salvation, I know if I didn't have the faith I have, I would definitely want someone to get me on the right track whether I like them or not!!! *Keep working in the battlefield* -Tyler |

There is a God!!
today in my inspiration. And I found myself singing an old song in my head by
Carmen, a contemporary Christian artist from my youth. "Step of Faith" - taking
a step taking a step of faith! Then I found myself with a memory from my youth
of seeing Carmen live and during his show he performed a song titled "There is
a God"! I knew that this was what God wanted me to share today. Read through
the word written in this song. It is so amazing!
There is a God!
93 million miles from the blistering surface of the sun hangs the planet earth.
A rotating sphere perfectly suspended in the center of the universe. The ultimate
creation from an infinite mind. An unbelievably intricate complex design.
A supernatural testimony, an irrefutable sign that there is a God.
The size, position and angle of the earth is a scientific phenomenon to see.
A few degrees closer to the sun we'd disintegrate, a few degrees furter we'd freeze.
The axis of the earth is titled at a perfect 23 degree angle and it's no mistake
that it is. This allows equal global distribution to the rays of the sun making
it possible for the food chain to exist.
Or take for example the combination of nitrogen and oxygen in the atmosphere we
breathe every day. It just happens to be the exact mix that life needs to prosper,
it doesn't happen on any other planet that way.
You see, the Bible says the invisible things of God are seen through His creation,
to believe this is not hard, if there's a design, there's a designer, if there's a plan,
there's a planner and if there's a miracle, there is a God.
The Scripture says the heavens declare the glory of God and the skies proclaim the work
of His hands. If we allow our minds to drink in all the truth that just surrounds us,
creation itself with help us understand.
Did you know the moon controls the tides, it's the maid that cleans the oceans.
Even the waves don't crash the shores in vain. The tides drag impurities from the depths
of the sea, it's nature's constant recycling chain.
It simply boggles the mind to think that the stars will rotate with such exact precision
that it's true. That the atomic clock with an error factor of less than three seconds per
millennium is set by the way we move.
Though they silently orbit, the sun, the moon, the stars are like celestial evangelists
above. Who circle the earth every 24 hours shouting in every languages that there is a God.
For it's God who created heaven and earth and flung the stars in space and breathed in the
handful of dirt and it became a man. It's God who sits on the circle of the earth and
measures the mountains in a scale, and holds the seven seas in the palm of His hand.
It's God who sent His only begotten Son to the cross of Calvary to save our souls from
Hell and the grave. It's God who creates, God who delivers, God who heals and who is worthy
of a thunderous ovation of praise.
There is a God, there is a God
And I know, I know, I know there is a God

Our Master Calls Us
| Isaiah 6:8 (NIV) Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" John 10:27 (NIV) My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I have always been amazed how pets know their master's voice. When their master calls, the cat or dog always comes. I know that animals don't have much 'clutter' in their lives or try to 'second guess' what their master is thinking, they simply come when they are called. Sometimes we are simply 'too busy' to hear our Master's voice, don't you think? We may be busy doing all the talking, too, and have just not allowed time for our Master to lead us. Dear Friend, God wants to talk to you today. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you in a special way today, and be ready to listen. There are so many things He wants you to know today, and He will show you if you listen. Spend more time listening to the Master's voice, and less time talking, and He will lead you where He needs you to be. Dave Henry |

Each One Win One

Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will." Today's message is very simple--as Christians, we are being watched each and every day. We are judged by our deeds, our actions, and most importantly our words. Our Father in Heaven has designed multi-level marketing long before the 20th Century, and has commissioned each and everyone of us to do our part to further the Kingdom of God. God has strategically placed each and everyone of us in our jobs, in our homes, and in our families to be the best witnesses that we can possibly be in order to demonstrate God's wonderful plan of salvation for all. I have experienced interactions and conversations today with others that you have not experienced, and vice versa. Hopefully God was pleased with each encounter today. Dear Friend, what are you doing to further God's Kingdom today? Is your life pleasing to Him, or would you say that you have engaged in crossfire, gallantly demonstrating your knowledge of the scriptures, but have not led another soul to the foot of the cross? Give Your Best
| Ecclesiastes 9:10 (NKJV) "Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going." Colossians 3:22-24 (NIV) "Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to win their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." We have been given a certain number of days on this earth to serve, to love, and to give. There are many verses in the bible about obeying your authorities, about loving and serving others. There is a song that was written many years ago that encourages us to give our very best to our Lord. "Give of Your Best to the Master" was written by Howard Grose, and music by Charlotte Barnard. Here are the lyrics to this beautiful, encouraging hymn: Give of your best to the Master; Give of the strength of your youth; Throw your soul's fresh, glowing ardor Into the battle for truth. Still Standing Strong!
| I got a very good lesson in standing up for your faith doesn't always mean you get the best ending. I had a test in one of my classes that I've been fighting with all semester and the day finally came where a lot of my answers either favored creation or evolution. The "correct" answers where those that favored evolution. I just could not bring myself to put those answers down. My test was returned to me with an F. I've never been told I fail anything, let alone for standing up for my God. I do believe I took a lot more out of this class than what my grade reflects though. I've grown closer to my God and I've made the decision that there is absolutely NO earthly grade or situation worth giving up my salvation for. And I will continue to stand strong in this regardless of what anyone says or does to break me down. I still know my God has a plan for me, that He will deliver me, and that He will provide for me always. *Still Standing from Satan's Blows* -Tyler |

The Love of God
Ephesians 3:16-19 (NIV) "I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." One of my favorite hymns, "The Love of God" written in 1917 by Frederick Lehman, describes his view of God's love for us. Here are the words to this beautiful song:
Dear Friend, do you know the Love of God today? The author uses some big, but descriptive words in an effort to convey God's amazing love for each and every one of us. The Sharpest tool
constant use. This tool can destroy both the strong and the weak. This tool can piere
the strongest barrier and cause walls to crumble to the ground. This tool can be used
and continue to be destructive even after years have past. Do you know what this tool
is? This tool is your TONGUE! Psalm 63:4 They sharpen their tongues like swords and
aim their words like deadly arrows. Your tongue can really create some major damage.
Sometimes when you don't even realize it has happened. Take care in what you say and
how you say it. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 12:18 "Reckless words pierce like a
sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. And also tells us in Titus 3:2
Slander no one, be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men.
Today ask God to help us to have peace, and to be considerate. Use our words to bring
healing.
Saturday is RideTheWind's last local show on the schedule. Take an evening and come

Forgiveness?
| Forgiveness, can we really do it? Jesus chose twelve men to follow him and become teachers, fishers of men. Those twelve men were not holy men of the day. Jesus knew the holy men and law makers; the Pharisees and Sadducees had strayed from the true meaning of the Word and made deals with Rome to be able to continue in their way of life. The twelve men Jesus chose were in fact fishermen, tax collectors, Zealots, even one, later who was carrying a list of Christians to be rounded up by the authorities because he believed Christianity was wrong. Two of them were known as the Sons of Thunder, not because of their sweet disposition. They doubted, they questioned, they denied. Through out the entire ordeal one thing remained a constant, their love for Jesus and the ability to return to His love with forgiveness. In this, Peter was able to deny knowing Christ three times, and after remembering the words of Jesus earlier, broke down and wept. He wept tears of sorrow. Peter was forgiven his sin, the sin of denying the Son of God while Jesus was being crucified for our sin, because of his repentance. God allows for us to make mistakes, He knows we aren't perfect. He sent His son to die for us so we would be able to live a life with Him. All we have to do is ask for forgiveness from him. Jesus' death allows for us to be given a second, third, fourth chances and so on. John 15:13 says, "Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends." John 10:11 "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. I know people in my life that have truly asked for forgiveness, I believe in my heart they have been forgiven by our Lord. Even if the world is unable, or unwilling to forgive them, they are forgiven by the One who can offer this to them. Just like Peter, they wept tears of sorrow for their sins. I count myself in that group, I have asked for forgiveness and continue to ask as I am not perfect. Then again none of us are perfect. There was only one… In Christ, Rick |

Can You Say Amen?
Psalm 106:48 "Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say, 'Amen!' Praise the Lord." James 5:16 "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective." If you have prayed today, or have heard someone else pray, the word "Amen" was likely spoken at the end of the prayer. As a small child and through my adult years I have heard my parents, pastors, youth group leaders, and even friends use this familiar word. The word 'Amen' literally means 'so be it' or 'it is true.' I have always believed that God will hear our prayers, but we must first rid ourselves of the daily clutter and sin that so easily permeates our lives. The verse above in James, directs us to confess our sins to each other and to also pray for each other, and then we will be healed. It also says that prayers of righteous men are powerful and effective. Can you say, "Amen" to that? Jesus also used the words, "Veriy, verily I say unto you...." before he spoke as He imparted truth to the crowds and to His disciples. "Verily, verily" means the same thing as "Amen!" as well. Today, we might tell someone to "listen carefully" or "pay attention" when we have something important to say. Dear Friend, the verse in Psalm 106 above tells us to praise God, who is everlasting. It also commands us to say "Amen!" Can you say, "Amen?" He alone is worthy of all our praise! Dave Henry |
Lasting Impression
young boy, I knew a man named Charlie Cole. He and his wife owned a little
country store where I grew up. Several times when you stop by this old store
you could hear the beautiful sounds of a dulcimer being played inside by Charlie.
And every year at this time I always reflect on the memory of listening to him play.
Charlie would setup at the community building and play for people as they pass during
the Covered Bridge Festival. I can still almost hear him playing in my head. I can
remember how Charlie was always very interested in everything I had going on, and
always treated me like family. He was a very good man. Charlie has been gone for
several years now, but I have not ever forgotten about him and the way he shared
his life with everyone. Knowing him left such a great impression on my life that
back in October of 2006 I wrote a song about Charlie and that ole' store. I have
not ever played the song live or recorded it. I plan to record the song soon I can
share it with his family and all the RideTheWind fans. Here is the first verse of
"The Ole' Store".

Anger
| My thoughts seem jumbled, my actions harsh. I feel like I am pulled in every direction and it makes me angry. Not because I am angry at others, but mostly at myself. I have let myself fall into that trap that is set by the enemy. I give in to my anger and lash out. Angry people usually justify their anger, saying it's someone else's fault they are angry. Yet the Bible repeatedly warns us against giving in to anger when we are upset by other people's words or actions. There is such a thing as righteous anger. And sometimes we need to talk about problems or deal with dangerous situations. (Even at these times, we must exercise self-control.) Yet most of the time, our anger is not righteous. As James wrote, "Man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires" (James 1:20). When we give in to anger, we often focus on our own welfare, comfort or happiness. Instead, we should be primarily concerned about other people's welfare and being a good witness for God. God does not want us to simply react emotionally to others' actions. Instead, we should respond with wisdom and a gentle spirit. And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful (2 Timothy 2:24). "In your anger do not sin": Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold (Ephesians 4:26-7). God gives me the wisdom and courage to act in His way, I must be the one to act upon it. My anger only leads to resentment, more anger and sin. He tells me I must love my enemy, but sometimes I have problems doing just that. Does that make me bad? No, but it does mean that I have to try harder to act the way He wants me to act. The Snake
| I was watching a show on tv last night that was about snakes, on a side note, it was awesome!! But back to my point, a guy was catching snakes and taking pictures of them. As I watched him take pictures while picking the snake up, I noticed how quickly and effortlessly he could strike the guy and kill him. This made me think of Adam and Eve when Eve ate the fruit she was not suppose to eat, then gave some to Adam also. When God said the snake would slither on the ground for the rest of it's days without feet, we find that Satan, who was playing the role of the snake, is always in our lives to tempt us. Also, he can strike and kill us almost instantly and without any effort. However, if you're well trained in the profession, you can pick up a deadly snake and have no problem telling it you are in control and that it can't harm you. I just found it really cool that this show on snakes was so closely resembling Satan's presence in our lives. The difference was that this guy actually went out looking for the snake. Even though he was purposely looking for it and trying to find it, he was still confident that when he did find it, he would know exactly what to do. Are you well-trained or at least in the process of training yourself to handle the snake in your life when it comes about? When Satan shows his face in your life, are you ready to handle it accordingly so as not be harmed or struck by his fangs? The Family of God
Colossians 3:23-24 "And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ." (Contents of story from www.tanbible.com) Bill and Gloria Gaither are faithful members of a local church in Alexandria, Indiana, and the church body is very dear to them. A young family in their congregation, Ron and Darlene Garner and their three children, inspired the writing of the Gaithers' song "The Family of God." As Gloria tells it: It was the Saturday after Good Friday that Ron went in for work at the garage where he was serving as a mechanic. He was making up time that he had taken off the previous Thursday to take his little daughter for some tests prior to some anticipated heart surgery. While Ron was working with combustible material, there was an explosion. He managed to crash his way through the large double doors before the building blew apart and went up in flames, but he was severely burned over most of his body. Ron was alive but was not expected to make it through the night. Within minutes a chain of telephone calls alerted the family of God, and the whole church began to pray for Ron. Little groups, bigger groups, in homes, at the church, over the phone. The church building was kept open, and lights burned all through the night as a steady stream of folks who cared and loved came to talk to Jesus about this young father. Easter morning the sun rose on a sanctuary filled with a bleary-eyed congregation. The pastor came in with a report from the hospital. Ron has outlived the deadline. The doctor says he has a chance. For the Body of Christ, that news was better than eight hours of sleep and a good breakfast. New life was infused into us all. Tears of praise and joy began to flow, and our hope and gratitude poured itself into the glorious songs of Easter. Jesus lives, and because He lives, we too shall live! With the words of victory we pledged ourselves to what would lie ahead: help with the children, many long trips to the hospital, blood for transfusions, money, meals—long months of support while the healing process went on. On our way home from church that morning, Bill and I were so full of the beauty of it all that we could hardly speak. Finally, we said to each other what we had come to realize through all this: They'd do that for us, too! It was almost too good to realize, but it was true! We aren't very model church members. The function we fill in the Body of Christ takes us away from a lot of the activities of our congregation. We're never available on Fridays and Saturdays. We arrive early on Sunday mornings to get our children to their Sunday school and church, but we can't be counted to teach a class with a schedule like that. But they'd do the same thing for us if we were the part of the Body that was suffering! Not because we were worthy or had earned special treatment or were indispensable—but just because we were a part of the Family of God! As I started dinner, Bill sat down at the piano. It wasn't long before the magnetism of the chorus Bill was singing drew me from the kitchen to the piano, and we finished the song that was to feed us better than any other food. Dave Henry |

He Can!
by the most incredible woman I know. I am so thankful that I spend
my life with her. Thank you Dee for all you do. Yep, we have a new

One of our "Wind Riders" Taylor Payne gave us a verse from Job chapter
30 and verse 22. "He lifts me up to the wind and causes me to ride..."
Honestly, I was in awe when I first read it. And I really wanted to use
this with our RTW ministry. So I started reading the story and I called my
Dad and asked him to study over this area and here is what we have found;
Just as Job, RideTheWind understands the mighty power of God. How He can
lift us up into the wind and cause us to ride! How He can hold us with His
awesome greatness. And we also know He can break us down, bring us to our
knees. Sweetly broken by the Master's hand. Thank you Taylor for being a
true and faithful believer, and for being a "Wind Rider".
So this brings me back to our new song "I know the Father can, He can
change the world with the touch of His hand oh oh yeah yeah yeah
the Father Can!"

~Untitled~
| Over the last few days I've given so much thought into why I'm struggling with all the burdons that are pushing me to my hands and knees. I've prayed about it and I've given God my whole heart, not just pieces that I pick and choose from and say here God you can have this part but not this because I think I can handle it on my own without Your help. Well I've learned that doing this doesn't work. I've had more than I thought I could handle on my plate lately and it's recently brought me to my hands and knees and I've broken into tears with it all. But every time one of my problems have hit me I've instantly prayed for wisdom to understand why I'm being tested with it, patience to allow me to endure the pain I feel, and deliverance to make it through the problems I have. Through doing this the last few days I've found joy in the trials and temptations I have because I know that my God won't give me anything I can't endure or have a way out of. Not to sound arrogant, that's not my intention at all, but I've found joy in knowing that with my God, I am strong and He knows this, this is why I've been given all the burdons and problems that I'm having right now...because my God said I can handle it with His power, love, and forgiveness. So my message to all of you reading is, take life as it's given to you positively...good or bad situations. Both are a blessing from the Lord, even the bad situations because He has given them to you to grow and prosper you and He knows that you can endure them and has given you a way out. Find joy in your trials and tribulations as I have. No, sometimes I'm not happy with them...but I'm always joyful because my God has given them to me for a reason! Clothe Yourselves
Colossians 3:12-14 (NIV) "Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." It sure has been a busy, hectic day! At the end of this sometimes stressful day, I sure do wish I had spent quiet time with God before I started my day. I knew I should have spent time reading my bible this morning, but somehow I convinced myself that just a little more sleep this morning was exactly what I needed. Reflecting on the events of the day, I realize now that I should have been more compassionate, more kind, more humble, more gentle, and certainly more patient. It was very easy to do just the opposite, as I strived to gain control of each situation. Little imperfections of others bothered me today, and I let certain events control me. As I studied this passage at the end of the day, I confess that it would have been beneficial for me to have spent time in God's word at the beginning of the day, not just before I drifted off to sleep at the end of the day. Dear Friend, have you clothed yourself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience today? Have you forgiven others as the Lord has forgiven you? And have you topped it all off with a generous scoop of love? As the verses above have clearly said, love binds it all together in perfect unity. Beginning today, let us all spend time each and every day in God's Word before we dive into the activities of the day. Dave Henry |

So, this last week I was asked a question that really made me think.
I was asked what we(RTW)considered our fans or followers to be? At first
the question had me. I guess I really didn't understand what they were
asking. My first thought was Christians or Believers! Then after some
needed knowledge was passed my way. I now understand the question. Would
we like our fans/followers to have a "Nickname". Ahh Ha! Several "Nicknames"
were passing through my head at this point. None of them were sticking. You
know how something just sticks in your head when it's right. Then we attended
the K-day parade in our home town and we were talking about being in a parade.
And it was mentioned that one of the ladies would be in the parade if they could
ride on a float with a magic carpet as if it were suspended in air. Then it hit me!
The "WIND RIDERS"! RideTheWind WIND RIDERS!
Today, I want to take a moment and thank RideTheWind fans. Thank you for your prayers
and support. Thank you for your love and dedication. And thank you most of all
for sharing your faith and following the lead of our Heavenly Father!

Suffering
peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have
gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we
rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only so, but we also
rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces
perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5And
hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into
our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
We all go through times of suffering... Sometimes it's just a few
minutes or hours, other times it can be days, weeks, months or even
years... Suffering can be somewhat meaningless like having to sit
through a college class you don't like... Most of the time, it is
thought of as something very meaningful like family problems or
financial difficulties. Whatever it is, you can always trust God to
pull you through those times and get you back on your feet. He is
always there for you, waiting on you to come to Him. He will never
allow you to go through something you can't handle (with His help).
God also wants you to rejoice and praise Him through our sufferings
because suffering produces perseverance; perseverance produces
character; and character produces hope.
Hope you all have a great day and remember to always praise Him
No matter what!!!

Deliverance
| What an amazing show we had last weekend with our fans in Indianapolis! To hear them singing along with us and waving their hands in the air was just a constant reminder of why we do this!! It was so amazing to see youths praising God to the music we of RTW play! Phillippians 4:13 says "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This is so very true. I had a required field trip the day of the concert and I was very nervous of missing either the field or the concert because both were very important. I prayed to God to deliver me from this situation because the times we crossing each other. The next day after finding out the times were crossing each other, it turned out that too many people had signed up to go and the field trip had to be cut in half on time and split into two trips. I was given the option of going in the morning and being done just in time to leave for our concert! This truely was a sign to me that God is providing a path for me! Indeed, through Christ, all things are possible!!! Amen!! *What an amazing God we serve* -Tyler |

Love Is
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails." I have been watching a tribute to Coach John Wooden this evening, and heard him say that "love is the greatest of all words in our dicitonary." It is possible that love is the most overused, and at the same time is the most misunderstood word in the dictionary as well. I do believe, however, that Coach had a very good understanding of the word love as he lived his life to the fullest. Although Coach Wooden had accomplished many winning seasons, he demonstrated true love as God had intended it to be. He gave many hours to the game of basketball developing his teams and his players, but also made it very clear that basketball was a distant 3rd place behind his wife and children, in that order. Just listening to his tone of voice and watching his conduct over the decades of coaching and leading others, I was inspired by his amazing leadership. All of his success would not have been possible without love and respect for others. Remembering and reflecting on a particular event in his youth, he admitted that he used some strong language toward his brother. Very quickly his father punished both of them for what had just happened. Coach Wooden said that he has never used any profanity since that day. I truly believe that the love of God filled his heart that day as he repented and kept him from saying things that would be hurtful to others. Dear Friend, is your life filled with love toward others? If you inserted your name in the passage above, and each time replaced the word 'love' with your name, would the verses still be accurate and true? Life is difficult, and it is not always easy to love others, but God has demonstrated what true love should be. May we all succeed in truly loving others from this day forward. with The Students Unified for Christ at Horizon Church and Camp in Indy! Can I just say WOW! This
place is amazing! An awesome place for youth. Beautiful Calamity from Crawfordsville, Indiana
opened for us. You all should check them out they are great. We will be looking for great things
coming from them in the future. God is really working in there lives. Big THANKS to Brandon
Greyson. We watched Brandon work very hard at organizing the events of the day and still took the
time to be personal with the kids. It was just awesome to watch each event of the day unfold.
Thank you Brandon for your service.
Seeing the looks on the faces of the youth during the show, give us the true reason why we
do what we do. The Youth today are crying out for direction. They are hungry for a connection
with something positive. I am so thankful that the songs we write give hope and direction. God
has truly blessed us. He is taking us places that we would have never imagined. And He is
doing things that we would have never thought possible. WE are the body! The body working for
one common goal. Reaching the lost!
My prayer today is and will always remain that God would bless and provide for us in ways we
can not imagine so that we may help move others beyond what they believe!
Remember - You may be someones only hope! Give it your all!
