How Great Thou Art

(NIV) Isaiah 45:18
For this is what the LORD says—
he who created the heavens,
he is God;
he who fashioned and made the earth,
he founded it;
he did not create it to be empty,
but formed it to be inhabited—
he says:
"I am the LORD,
and there is no other."

Dear Friend, when I read these verses today, I was reminded of the beautiful words in the song, "How Great Thou Art" written by Carl Boberg in 1885. I have been asked to play this song on my harp at churches, funerals, concerts, and other gatherings. Take a moment to reflect on and sing the inspiring words of the first verse in this song in your time with God today.

"O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds thy hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed."

"Then sings my soul, My Savior God to Thee,
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, My Savior God to Thee,
How great Thou art! How great Thout art!"
