Shout for Joy!

Psalm 100 (NIV)

Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Of all of the Psalms, this is certainly one of my favorites! Many hymn writers from years ago, and contemporary songwriters today have used this psalm to inspire the world through songs of worship and praise. As I have read the passage a few times and have spent quiet moments meditating on the beautiful words, I am amazed at God's great love for us!

Have you ever wondered what it means to "worship the Lord with gladness" and "to come before Him with joyful songs?" Are you thankful for God's presence, and faithfulness in your life? The bible says that He made us, and we are His children. The passage further explains that we are the sheep of His pasture.

Dear Friend, how about you? Do you worship the Lord and shout for joy, and come before Him with songs of praise? Read the last verse one more time, and read it aloud to our Savior. Can you truly say, "O Lord, You are good, and Your love endures forever?" Thank Him now for being so very faithful to all generations!

Blessings to You,
Dave Henry
