Seeds

Romans 8:5-8
A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path; it was trampled on, and the birds of the air ate it up. Some fell on rock, and when it came up, the plants withered because they had no moisture. Other seed fell among throns, which grew up with it and choked the plants. Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up and yielded a crop, a hundred times more than was sown.
How true is this? We get the opportunity to sow a seed and plant the word of God in someone's life and we sometimes pass it up. Why? Some of the reason I pass it up are fear, lack of faith, humility, or just not thinking quickly on my feet. The way to solve this is to spend more time in prayer and reading God's word. So many times God gives us the chance to sow a seed that will yield a hundred times more than was sown, it's a matter of being able to do it whole-heartedly and without fear of rejection. Even if you do get rejected, that doesn't mean the seed hasn't been planted, it may take a long time to sprout or it may never sprout at all, but by planting it you have done a good deed in our Father's eyes.
